Three Years and Three Ways to Persevere

Happy three-year anniversary, CurvEssentials Queens! 

Can you believe it? (I know, we can’t either.) Exactly three years ago today we launched Curv Essentials Boutique with a little hope, purpose, determination, endurance, and with the grace of the Lord. And we have seen so much perseverance and growth in our company and ourselves. We’ve been through so much as individuals in the last three years. We have seen the good and bad: a woman of color in office after a stressful election, a pandemic and isolation, and even the entrance and exit of Meghan Markle into the royal family. The last three years have been a journey, but CurvEssentials has grown the company, our customers, and our personal selves with patience, strength, and determination into who we are today. 

Trust and faith in a challenging journey are crucial when achieving your goals and aspirations - or even, running a business. Take it from me: ladies, you can do whatever you put your mind to. You will preserve! 

Some tips I have learned in the last three years that have helped me persevere and grow my business? 

• Be patient. I know, it can be hard. You want it now! If only success came as quickly as our packages, no one would ever complain. But, it’s true. And a lesson we have learned as children. But you CAN do it. Remember: good things come to those who wait.
• Be strong. We are curvy, strong, women of God, and nothing can break us. Challenges may arise, and tribulations may come but nothing is impossible when you have strength. 
• Set your goal. Your goal is the backbone of your perseverance. Your goals are what push and mold you into your best selves. Never lose sight of what is important and don’t lose yourself in the process.

My CurvEssentials Queens, we can all push ourselves to be the best version of ourselves. But take the time to remember your journey and how far you’ve come in whatever that journey may be. You will persevere.
